We are looking for a Business Development Manager - Public Sector for a permanent role based in Oxfordshire.
Business Development Executive - Maintenance and Build
We are looking for TWO Business Development Executives to support plans for growth in a Maintenance and Build team by developing sustainable and profitable relationships with chosen and prospective customers across the Berkshire/Oxfordshire area.
Key accountabilities will be to achieve agreed margin and volume targets, through direct contact and key account management, whilst achieving high levels of customer loyalty. Other responsibilities will include pipeline management, market research, lead validation and tracking, local customer plans and customer relationship management. Key client group will be local Housing Associations, Councils, Schools and Univerties as well as private companies/projects.
Essentially;
- Identify, qualify, quantify and convert customer prospects into profitable relationships
- With the local team develop an intrinsic understanding of the market - incl. size, value, sectors, growth areas, competitors and identify target customers
- Co-ordination of leads and opportunities through new pipeline sources
- Targeted direct sales campaigns to raise awareness of the company brand and integrated offer
- Create and maintain a local dynamic sales plan in conjunction with the local leadership team - Allocate key account management responsibilities and review and monitor on a monthly basis
Required Experience:
• Direct, face-to-face sales experience
• Business development - proven track record of sustainable sales growth, through targeted customer calls and meetings
• Key account management - experience in a customer relationship management role
• Lead validation - data mining, prospecting, lead management and tracking through to secured workload
• Good understanding of customer service levels and key performance indicators
• Experience of customer loyalty measures and feedback processes
Essential Attributes
• Self-driven, results orientated with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on margin and targets
• Articulate and well presented (with good presentation skills)
• Ability to negotiate, develop and manage customer relationships
• Strong communication, listening and interpersonal skills
• A highly motivated team player with a proactive approach to work
• Ability to work on own initiative with good planning/organisation skills (time management/workload prioritisation)
• Full clean driving licence and own vehicle (car allowance provided)
Highly Desirable
• Locally based, with knowledge of local market and contacts – Building and Maintenance
• Experience in, or knowledge of maintenance, building and/ or support service environments
• IT literate - particularly Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations, Excel for reports and Outlook for diary planning
Package:
- Permanent Business Development Executive role
- Based in Reading or Oxford areas
- Negotiable salary £25 – 35k dependant upon experience (+ OTE)
