A fast growing construction company currently have a requirement for a Tender Planner to work in Central London.

Working throughout the building sector, our client's current portfolio of work encompasses aspects of commercial, leisure, retail, private residential and occasional PFI related schemes. With a recent change in management, our client are developing a reputation as experts in modern building solutions and have set themselves ambitious plans for projected growth in 2010.

Our client are looking for an enthusiastic Planning Engineer to work throughout the bidding and negotiating stages on building schemes. The role is working predominantly at tender stage, although the successful candidate will occasionally need to go to site to update, etc. You will be expected to create detailed tender programmes, attend client meetings, liaise with senior management, update, monitor and create reports based on occasional schemes on site, etc. Experience of modern building solutions would also be an advantage, i.e. timber frames, offsite fabrication, etc.

Rather than just someone producing programmes, our client are also looking for an individual who is looking at ways of improving services (i.e. constantly looking at angles to better projects and improve relationships with clients). They are an ambitious outfit and are seeking someone with similar characteristics.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following experience:
- At least 5 years dedicated construction planning experience in the building sector, ideally with some previous site experience (i.e. site manager, engineer, etc).
- Good experience of tender planning, capable of managing 2/3 projects at one time.
- Modern building solutions experience, i.e. timber frames, offsite fabrication, etc.
- Enthusiastic personality and logical thinker.
- An individual constantly looking at angles to improve projects, services, etc.
- Eligible to work in the UK.

In return, our client will offer a competitive salary (dependent upon experience) of up to £50k per annum plus a benefits package including travel allowance, pension, health, etc.
