Our client a leading FM provider is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work within their interior fit out department. Although they are looking for a QS you will need to have worked as a Contract Manager also being involved in actually running the projects ‘hybrid’.

This is a great opportunity as you will be able to progress to Commercial Manager in a fairly short space of time.

• Responsible for providing financial control on the construction & fit out of the project
• Coordinated cash flow forecasts and sub contract & final accounts
• Responsible for coordinating tender submission formulation & best value presentations
• Enlisted & managed sub contractors dealing with all related procurement issues arising
• Appointed to attend all internal, subcontract, design & client meetings
• Monitored all cost elements and preparing final accounts and subsequent presentation
• Responsible for undertaking and substantiating pricing variations on a day to day basis
• Maintained site visits to undertake re- measuring and monitor work done by sub contractors
• Oversaw all contract activities and handled change management tasks
• Provided initial cost advice, approximate estimating, cost planning & tender evaluation
• Appointed to agree variations and to ensure positive cash flow maximised
• Responsible for negotiating and placing orders with 3rd party suppliers
• Manage contract development and changes including cost control activities
• Handle changes to contract requirements including high level negotiations
• Ensured the completion of activities within stringent timescale requirements
• Site Mgt skills dealing with all aspects of progress, programme and construction activities.

The salary is £50K circa with a full benefits package.
