Civil / Structural CAD technicians

Civil/Structural CAD technicians based in Cumbria predominately working on Nuclear projects

Part of the role will be to lead a team and to mentor them throughout their career development. You should be a strong leader and have sound technical ability.

You will ensure that the team deliver projects on time and within budget with high quality output. Also, you will manage CAD team resources for a wide range of projects across the office. The role will include both new build and refurbishment projects in a variety of sectors.

KEY COMPETENCIES
Experienced Senior CAD Technician conversant in the production of standard C&S drawings (eg Gas, details, site plans, drainage) to current British Standards with the potential ability to run own projects; however on the job training will be provided for this.

The person will be a team player who can make a strong contribution to project success through successful collaboration with other disciplines and will be capable of building relationships with key clients and colleagues.

The successful candidate will have strong technical and inter-personal skills. They will be able to produce excellent project solutions and contribute to the growth of this vibrant and forward thinking part of the firm.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Proven track record in delivery of traditional C&S projects with an interest or experience in managing projects and small team of CAD technicians on building and infrastructure projects in the UK.
Additional experience of 3D modelling would be beneficial although not essential.

Previous nuclear experience is not essential to the role.
