Commercial Manager / Commercial Director

Due to a very ambitious growth plan regarding future expansion within the social housing / maintenance sector, my client is seeking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager / Director to manage a portfolio of decent homes and maintenance contracts throughout Scotland.

Reporting into the board you will be responsible for all commercial activities pertaining to the Social Housing & Maintenance Divisions covering reactive/responsive maintenance contracts throughout theUK. Assisting with the operational you will also be involved with the strategic planning in line with the 5 year business plan regarding expansion. You will also liaise with clients and other internal partners ensuring any disputes are resolved amicably.

Other duties will include:

Invoicing
Valuations
Submitting final accounts
Monthly profit and loss accounts
Procurement for all current and future contracts via close communication with the Contract Teams. This position is a specific requirement for my client and therefore you must have recent, relevant experience on responsive / reactive maintenance contracts; ideally with a large national contractor. In addition, you must be commercially astute and have a sound knowledge of the reactive maintenance and social housing markets.

On offer for the successful Commercial Manager is a highly competitive salary between £55,000 and £80,000 per annum (dependant on experience) as well as the option of a car or car allowance, benefits.

This is a senior appointment and as such candidates should only apply if they have a proven track record within the Social Housing / Maintenance sector.
