Marketing Assistant - Permanent Position - Birmingham
A main building contractor based in Birmingham is looking to add a Marketing Assistant to its head office team. The Marketing Assistant will support the business development function by carrying out and collating industry research, following up queries regarding new construction projects, dealing with enquiries from clients and potential clients, and assisting with the hosting of open days and events as well as providing general support to the Business Development Manager. The Marketing Assistant will be presentable and articulate, ideally of graduate calibre, and have strong written and verbal communication skills. As this is very much a client-facing role, both over the phone and in person self-confidence and the ability to retain good levels of industry and client knowledge are essential.
The Marketing Assistant will liaise with the bid team as well as the marketing department to ensure correct information is shared throughout the work-winning phase of projects, so an ability to work well as part of a team as well as being self-motivated enough to work on his or her own would be advantageous. Previous experience working in a similar role in the construction industry would be beneficial but not essential.
