Project Planner - St Albans

We currently have a requirement for a Project Planner to join a prestigious consultancy, working on industrial schemes worth up to £120m each. These may include new build factories, manufacturing plants, R&D, etc, but our client will happily consider those with no previous industrial experience.

Our client has offices across the globe and an increase in workload means that they currently need a client-facing Project Planner to be based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. You will need to be flexible on travel as occasional projects around the M25 may occur and this role is likely to involve foreign travel into Europe in the future.

The role will involve working closely with clients, creating detailed programmes, monitoring & reporting progress, attending PM and vendor meetings, etc. You will need to be a quick learner as well as a charismatic individual due to the interaction with the client. The successful candidate will be working closely with a vastly experienced Senior Planner who will look to provide further training and development and ensure that the right person progresses quickly within the organisation.

Ideally, our client is seeking the following:

- 2-5 years planning/project controls experience on construction and engineering projects.
- Proficiency with MS Project software. Primavera P3 advantageous.
- Charismatic, client-facing personality.
- Earned value experience would be an advantage.
- Experience of PM methodology.
- Eligible to work in the UK.

In return, our client is offering a basic salary of up to £35,000 per annum plus car/allowance, pension, health and annual bonus.
