Health and Safety Manager - Planned Maintenance
My client is a leading Maintenance and Refurbishment contractor delivering work for both public sector and private sector clients. Their scope of work is very diverse and can range from small works up to £multimillion property repairs frameworks.
This can include Office / Commercial Fit Out, Retail Projects, Hotels, Maintenance / Refurbishment, Decent Homes, Voids, Cyclical and External Decoration, Painting, Concrete Repairs.
The Role
Providing Health, Safety and Environmental guidance to employees on a day to day basis
Carry out regular Health and Safety Inspections across various sites and produce reports and follow up action points.
Carry out risk assessments and fire assessments
Review the application of Health and Safety, especially with regard to work involving void properties, responsive maintenance and gas/electrical contracts.
Assist in achieving and maintaining OHSAS 18001 Certification
Deliver relevant tool box talks/briefings and training where appropriate.
Skills & Experience Required
NEBOSH General Certificate and/or NEBOSH Construction Certificate
Tech IOSH or equivalent
An Environmental qualification would be advantageous
Experience of delivering training would be beneficial
Must have a full driving license
Salary & Benefits
On offer for the successful Health and Safety Manager is a highly competitive salary up to £40k + (dependant on experience) as well as other fringe benefits including Car / Allowance, holiday entitlement, pension, etc.
