Description Are you an graduate with raw materials purchasing experience within the FCMG market? Do you have experience working within a supply chain environment keen to utilise your communication, organisation and problem solving skills? Are you keen to work for a leading global organisation within a supportive and team focused environment? If so we are keen to hear from you!

Currently an opportunity exists for a Purchasing Category Buyer to join the supply chain department of an international leader in its specialist field at modern facilities in North Yorkshire.

You will be joining a organisation with a reputation of excellence as a creator and manufacturer of food products to support the purchasing process and the purchasing department to effectively and efficiently manage the supply chain.

Typically your daily duties will include:

-To define, implement and coordinate sourcing strategies for specific categories and assure these are executed in the most value-added manner.
-Responsibility for the application of the 7 step strategic sourcing process.
-Responsibility for market research, cost analysis and cost-modelling.
-Lead negotiations for the categories under supervision of the Purchasing Category Manager
-Support the SAP implementation
-To ensure that raw materials are delivered to meet the business needs in regards to service level , price and quality.
-To manage the main supplier non-conformances to optimise material quality.
-To lead the multifunctional cross-country supplier selection process.

To be considered for this opportunity you will be degree educated within a relevant field and possess experience within supply chain and raw materials purchasing. You will ideally posses knowledge the food, chemical or flavours industry and possess excellent IT skills to include Microsoft Office and SAP. You will have excellent communications skills, be analytical and methodical and demonstrate strong team and leadership skills.

French as a 2nd language would also be an advantage.

Due to the location of the organisation you will require a driving licence and also have access to your own transport.
