Description		Position - Inventory Control Supervisor (Sunday - Thursday hours) Location - Maidenhead Salary - �17K - �20K As an Inventory Control Supervisor you will be responsible for a team of co-ordinators and making sure the product flow from the vendors, to the distribution centre to the stores. This will involve liaising with various department and communicating and issues to all stores. In addition to this the candidate will also deal directly with Vendors and Buyers to ensure maximum store service level, maximum stock turn, and minimal stock outs. Main responsibilities include: -Assisting with the management of a team of co-ordinators. This will also involve recruiting new staff and the training of both new and existing staff -Validation of merchandise to be delivered in accordance with our business needs -Assist in the management of, and participate in, weekly reviews and order placement -Assist in the management of, and participate in, the distributing of merchandise to store -Ensure that stock distribution is completed within the required deadline and that the stock is correctly balanced across all stores -Take responsibility for key vendors within the outdoor/wheeled team. Meet with them when necessary to resolve or address supply or trading issues -Attend regular meetings with buyers to discuss product flow, ranging, stock shortages promotions and in-store concepts -Visit stores to stimulate better product awareness and to help foster a better commercial attitude within the department -Help manage summer seasonal product flow to stores to prevent stock outs and over stock in this highly dynamic area of the business -To have the ability to work under pressure within a fast moving environment -To assist in the area reaching its company and departmental targets, including service level availability -Any other ad-hoc duties as instructed The successful candidate will have good communication and negotiation skills with the ability to have a numerate and analytical approach. Although not essential experience within a Stock Control/Supply Chain background would be preferred. It is essential that for this position you have good management and supervisory experience and be a real team player. You must also be computer literate and be able to use Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.
