Technical Manager –Retail (Food Safety and HACCP)
Covering the North East and Scotland
£30k-£35k + benefits + company car

They are currently looking for a Technical Manager to join their team in the North East and Scotland. It will be your responsibility to coordinate all technical requirements for the North East and Scotland through direct reports, as well as managing the Food Safety meetings with the Heads of Retail for these particular areas.

Ensuring that all complaints are investigated, you will lead HACCP teams and reviews, updating and maintaining the systems and procedures in compliance with Food Safety standards. You will resolve all Pest control issues promptly, and work alongside the Quality Assurance team to implement and develop their procedures. Collating and communicating KPI data to the Heads of Retail, you will also manage the receipt of all Local Authority and Enforcement communications, ensuring the safe resolution of all issues.

With previous technical food experience within a retail or production environment, it is essential that you possess a technical food qualification, along with an advanced qualification or equivalent in Food Hygiene. With a good knowledge of HACCP systems and procedures, you will have excellent communication, decision-making and influencing skills across all levels. Leading the team, you will be customer focused, have a keen eye for detail and be methodical in your approach to food hygiene and safety. The ideal candidate for this role will be IT literate and have experience of Database systems and reporting, along with outstanding literacy and numeracy skills. Due to the nature of this role, you will need a full driving license.
