THE ROLE
As a Store Manager you will have ideally held previous positions such as duty manager, deputy manager, store manager, team leader, sales manager, customer service manager or restaurant manager. You will have a good eye for detail as well as the ability to learn new skills to take your career to the next level. The role involves running the day-to-day operation of a Retail Unit.
The Store Manager has the ultimate responsibility for all store operations and must ensure effective, efficient and profitable execution of the company’s commitments and expectations through their teams. Store Managers motivate, lead and develop a dynamic customer service team. People Management, Financial control, Operational Excellence and Customer service are all key elements of this position.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Duties and key responsibilities will include:
• Overall management of the retail unit and staff
• Motivation of team and conducting team meetings and monitoring sales & targets etc.
• Stock and waste management
• Cashing up (good numerical skills required) and key holder.
• Forward planning for major promotions and events.
• Ensure all team members have a full understanding of the operations manual.
• Ensure the team has appropriate skills to process transactions quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure team focus remains on the customer.
• Manage tasks to minimise impact of store service levels.
• Ensure returns and problems are managed to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all media advertising and promotional events are presented in store to maximise sale potential.
• Recruit Team Members of the appropriate profile
• Develop initiatives to reward and recognise Team for achievement of goals.
• Responsible for keeping all P&L Line Items within budget limits.
• Manage store financials according to key performance indicators.
