RETAIL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

Based in the West Midlands, Creativity International is one of the more significant developers, manufacturers and distributors of paper based creative educational materials to the education market.  Creativity International has 3 main divisions, which are Retail Arts & Crafts, Education Arts & Crafts and Creativity Backgrounds for Photography.

Creativity International supply children’s activity craft kits to major retailers including ELC, Debenhams, Hobbycraft and John Lewis.

RETAIL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE - RESPONSIBILITIES

-          Leading the sales of unique products to supermarket Buyers, independent retailers and niche market areas

-          Defining new product areas and new retail business outlets

-          Provide strategies to develop the Direct to End User market

-          Work with the Retail Sales Consultant and creative department

-          Secure long-lasting and developmental relationships with buyers, heads of marketing, distribution etc.

-          Communicate ideas to the design and sourcing departments

-          Liaise with marketing department to create marketing campaigns

-          Negotiate to win business

-          Maintain and grow business with existing customers

-          Identify target customers (new and existing)

-          Arrange appointments, visits and presentations

-          Organising trade shows

-          Coordinating marketing campaigns, create marketing material and catalogues

-          Assist the marketing department with new product development

-          Instigate discussions for new product and market development

RETAIL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE - EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

-          Track record of successful key account management

-          Track record of successful new business sales

-          The ability to make immediate and significant sales impact

-          The ability to ‘close’ sales

-          Affinity and empathy with craft market

-          High levels of literacy and numeracy

-          Ideally, have relationships in place to enable you to secure “real estate” within target companies

-          Able to identify trends in the marketplace

-          Based in Brierley Hill office
