Ecommerce Category Manager
A leading games & entertainment brand is seeking an ecommerce merchandiser to join their ever growing ecommerce team within the Head Office in central London. You will be responsible for managing the games category range through ecommerce and digital sales channels including optimising the consumer proposition to achieve commercial objectives.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for top-line category revenue and P&L contribution, ensuring delivery of defined growth targets. You will work with the Reporting & Planning team to conduct on-going analysis and development of category KPIs.
Day-to-day commercial management of category range, including product maintenance, pricing and merchandising. Leveraging existing data sources to understand customer segments and respond to trends. Conducting and responding to regular competitor analysis and identifying key suppliers and building collaborative relationships internally and externally.
Working with suppliers to maximise performance of category range and key IP and working with the Planning & Merchandising team to develop the product release and promotional schedule, optimising the category range to address budget risks and opportunities.
You will liaise with the Marketing team to ensure that category plans are supported through owned channels and external media.
Candidate Specification:
The successful candidate will also have day-to-day management and development of a small team hence man management is essential.
Must have experience in ecommerce, preferably in a category management or merchandising role
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a record of results driven category management, marketing and merchandising skills.
You will also have familiarity applying data and analysis to the commercial decision making process with a strong eye for detail.
Must display enthusiasm for driving change and be able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach is important as this is a new position.
