The position for Senior Buyer in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England is no longer available
Working for a well established global distributor, based here in Chesterfield, we are looking to recruit an experienced buyer for one of the companies’ distribution divisions.
Working within a small team, you will be responsible for sourcing products, negotiating for the best price and building relationships with suppliers. We are looking for someone who has experience of the above but also who may have experience of finding and sourcing new and innovative products on the market place. The department work to cost saving targets, so it is imperative that the successful candidate has experience of looking outside of the box, and enjoy the negotiation side of the business.
The company works on a bespoke system, unique to the business, but is quite similar to the SAP system. Candidates will have to have excellent working knowledge of Excel and be confident in producing spreadsheets and reporting.
The role will involve administration duties and you will be responsible for managing your time effectively in order to stay organised and efficient.
Hours of work are 8am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 4pm on a Friday, with an hour for lunch.
