Site Quality/Technical Manager (interim)

Techsearch's client is a renowned and globally admired Consumer Goods Business, enjoying world-wide dominance and market leading status in their category sector. As a result of sustained business expansion and cultural change at this state-of-the-art, medium sized manufacturing facility, an immediate opportunity has arisen for a senior Technical/Quality Manager role on an interim basis.

Reporting to the Site Director, you will be responsible for the management and day-to-day operation of the quality, technical, ensuring both product and process conformance against specified limits prior to product release.

Role:
-You will investigate incidents and reasons for non-conformance ensuring that effective solutions and corrective actions are implemented.
-Carry out daily Quality System and line audits of production/QA Procedures and HACCP Records.
-Responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective Incident Management System on site so that non-conformances can be identified and rectified.
-Investigation of supplier, consumer, trade and environmental health complaints, introducing corrective actions.
-To review skills and develop staff within your department, identifying needs, implementing and reviewing training programmes
-To co-ordinate labour requirements within QA
-Carrying out quality incident investigations and advising on the appropriate course of action

Requirements:
-The successful candidate will be a graduate calibre, experienced Technical/Quality Manager
-Ideally you will be a trained quality auditor, ideally with a Food Hygiene Certificate
-Internal auditing experience is essential, as well as FMCG/Food industry
-You will be an expert in the HACCP System including specifications and recipe systems
-You will also have strong investigative and problem solving skills applying route cause analysis
-Your ability to build strong relationships and influence quickly at all levels within the organization is essential
-You will hit the ground running to help re-establish the quality strategy on this high performing food manufacturing site
