Description		RG01 Marketing Manager Job Purpose The marketing manager will be a key member of the Wi-Fi marketing team - responsible for product definition, product promotion and development of new Wi-Fi business. You will have a strong, advanced technical background with the ability to quickly pick up complex technical concepts. In addition to thinking on a high strategic level, you will also be keen to focus on specific technical details when necessary. Working with the regional sales teams, you will need to build and strengthen relationships in key accounts to successfully win and retain design-ins. You will need to build up detailed knowledge of the key features, roadmaps and selling points of our Wi-Fi products and use this knowledge during the "convincing" phase of the sales cycle. You will need a compelling presentation style, and the ability to think on your feet to field customers' queries in real time. You will be expected to travel in order to build customer contacts and relationships as appropriate. You will have a strong input into the Wi-Fi product roadmap. Based on customer interactions, you provide valuable input to steer our Wi-Fi investment decisions. This activity will involve participating in internal planning meetings and lobbying key stakeholders. To define the product roadmap effectively, you will need to also build a comprehensive view of industry trends and also competitor activity. Key Responsibilities ? Building marketing collateral for promotion of our Wi-Fi products - including presentations, white papers, articles and press interviews ? Direct product promotion and business development through customer visits (will require international travel). ? Development of customer relationships, understanding of customer care-abouts, qualification of customers business prospects ? Building of competitor intelligence, comparative knowledge with our products. Person Specification List details of Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications needed to do the job: Required: ? Experience of business development in a semiconductor or related product area ? Experience of wireless communication standards ? Strong customer facing skills and ability to build relationships at different levels of seniority ? Persuasiveness and tenacity. Keen enthusiasm and optimistic outlook Desired: ? Detailed knowledge of IEEE 802.11 and Wi-Fi standards ? Direct marketing experience in the semiconductor sector ? Knowledge of handset technologies, architectures and key players ? Experience of working on the design/marketing of Wi-Fi products (semiconductor or end product
