Description Our client is an environmental communication consultancy. They are looking to recruit an Account Director. The primary skill is providing marketing and communication consultancy to clients. In addition it is essential to either have experience and knowledge in the environmental sector, or at least a strong desire to learn about this sector very quickly. Thirdly, the role involves business development.

The aim of the role of Account Director is to win and deliver profitable marketing and communication consultancy, primarily, but not necessarily exclusively, to clients in the environmental sector, and to manage design, marketing and communication ‘deliverables' identified as part of the consultancy.

To win new consultancy business
To establish retainers with clients where possible
To produce initial pitch proposals to be presented to the client
To offer marketing and communication consultancy to clients with the aim of helping them achieve what they want
To establish the brief for projects
To create the marketing and business strategy behind all projects
To produce outline concepts to be presented to and agreed by the client
To maintain outstanding levels of customer service throughout projects
To ensure all projects are costed and invoiced accurately
To ensure that the maximum amount of own hours are charged out to clients
To convert the initial consultancy and proposal into a concept and brief for the designer/s
To work closely with the designer/s to manage the implementation of the concept
To ensure the project is planned and costed accurately
To ensure the designer/s keep to timescale and brief
To direct subcontractors on other elements of projects such as photography, copywriting, video
To ensure accuracy is achieved on all projects
To ensure projects achieve functionality, clarity and ease of use and effectiveness
To take an active part in the management and growth of the business
To monitor that the designer/s are working profitably and efficiently
To work with the Director on marketing strategy and plan
To meet regularly with the Director to measure and refine marketing
To be a positive ambassador for the business at all times
To assist with any other tasks as reasonably required
