Senior Consultant – Strategic Marketing

Client Profile:

A vacancy has for a Senior Consultant – Marketing Intelligence is an ideal opportunity for individuals with solid experience within consulting and experience of the mobile technology sector.

Role Description:

The Senior Consultant – Market Intelligence will take overall responsibility for the management of the projects entrusted to him/her, as well as for managing and developing specific external and internal relationships. The Senior Consultant – Market Intelligence will apply rigorous market diagnosis, understanding of market environments and customer insight to provide high quality insight, advice and marketing planning.

The key responsibilities will be:

-Act as independent project manager, driving projects through to a successful and profitable completion.
-You will be responsible for start up, project plans, time management, resourcing, budget management, conflict resolution and preparation and presentation of final output.
-Consistently deliver high quality output that meets and exceeds client expectations
-Demonstrate a good depth and breadth of skills and capabilities, project managing others and transferring skills
-Be involved in people management: recruitment, training, development and mentoring
-Play a role in internal management of the company – pro-actively identifying and addressing areas for process improvement.
-Gain clients’ trust and credibility at budget-holding level, demonstrating the ability to hold productive client meetings, resolving issues, etc
-Demonstrate a broad business understanding, both internally and externally
-Play an active role in new business development: preparing sales presentations, attending sales meetings, writing proposals, etc.
-Promote good knowledge management practice
-Write case studies and/or articles and thorough pieces off the back of successful projects

Person Specification:

The Senior Consultant – Market Intelligence should have over 5 years’ experience within a marketing intelligence consultancy or similar organization.

-The capacity for creative and original thinking
-Account Management experience within an insight and strategy planning environment
-Proposal writing and pitching experience mandatory
-Must have experience of consumer experience, innovation or market opportunity assessment based projects in Mobile Technologies
-Strategy and innovation fluent and excellent project management skills essential
-Evidence of building revenue within existing accounts
-Educated to 2:1 degree standard or equivalent, you will have a strong academic history.
-Excellent time-management and strong communication skills at all levels are required
-A strong team-player, able and willing to take on a variety of roles
-Able to work with limited guidance and supervision and manage projects independently
-Willing to play a key role in new business development
-Experienced in market-sizing, NPD, and primary/secondary research
-Excellent MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills
