Digital Communications Executive/ Project Coordinator – Charity Challenge Events

We are a tour operator specialising in the organisation of worldwide cycle, trek and horse riding challenges for over 100 UK charities.
We are currently recruiting a Digital Communications Executive/ Project Coordinator to liaise with an external web development company for the creation of a brand new website for the company and maintain and update our current famous charity night-time bike ride website.
The role-holder will be the main contact for all charities and participants taking part in the our charity night-time bike ride series of events whilst providing support to the Senior Manager in the organisation and marketing of the events.
Digital Communications Executive/ Project Coordinator Responsibilities:
New Charity Tours Website (our main site):
> Work on a day to day basis to populate and develop the new website.
> Ensure the web company keep to the agreed timetable
> Collate and upload all text and images
Our Charity Night-Time Bike Ride Website:
> To add all new charities and make any amends to charity details as required.
> Update all participant records as required.
> To send out emails to the charity and participant database.
> To be the day to day contact with web company.
> Oversee the accounts with web company and Office Manager.
> Update the website with news features.
Charity Night-Time Bike Ride Event Support:
> Day to day liaison with charities and participants
> Input to all team meetings about all aspects of the event.
> Attend charity meetings as required.
> To help develop our charity bike ride series of events and increase participant numbers on the events.
> To support the Senior Manager in all task relating to the organisation, logistics and marketing of the events.
> Managing social media activities.
> Database Management.
> Write a report for the staff meeting with an update of your work.
> Meet once a week with the Senior Manager (Development and Marketing) for an update.
> Proven technical skills and experience of working on and developing websites.
> Experience of working with Content Management Systems (CMS) within the backend of websites
> Educated to degree level
> Relevant experience, ideally within the events industry
> Confident, highly organised and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer skills and have good attention to detail.
> Excellent time-management skills
> Ability to negotiate, make decisions and work accurately in a high pressured environment.
> Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
> Experience of using social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube etc) and, ideally, experience of managing and developing online communities to promote events.
> Experience of charity challenge events
> Knowledge of the charity world
> Media and marketing
Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.
