To create maintain accurate active member records and calculate and process refunds and deferred for early leavers from the local government pension scheme and the police and firefighters pension scheme. To calculate and initiate payment of deferred benefits. To calculate and initiate payment of refunds of contributions. To issues statutory notices to scheme members. To process applications for added years and additional voluntary contributions. To make age amendments to pensions in payment. To deal with enquiries by telephone, correspondence and email.
To check the work of other pensions assistants for quality control. To help evaluate the training and development needs of the team.
