We are currently looking for a Registered nurse manager to working in a nursing home in the Kent area. You will have proven experience as a manager and would hold nursing qualifications. You must have a valid Pin. Your duties will be as followed:
To be knowledgeable in respect of current requirements and guidelines in respect of Nursing and Care Homes (i.e. National Care Standards Act 2000) and to operate in accordance with the NMC code of Professional Conduct.
To monitor the level of occupancy and maintaining at least an agreed viable minimum occupancy rate.
To ensure all matters reportable to Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) under Regulation 37 are reported efficiently and staff are instructed to carry this out in the absence of the Registered Manager.
To adopt and adhere to current policies and procedures and ensure staff understand and act according to them.
To communicate effectively with all residents, families, friends and associates to ensure customer satisfaction.
To manage, supervise and review residents? care, incorporating a holistic approach to care and ensuring the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, psychological and spiritual needs of the client are met.
To ensure a competent Registered Nurse is in charge in the absence of the Registered Manager.
To communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
To promote the interest of the Home and its clients at all times, and to maintain corporate confidentiality.
To ensure good practice in staff recruitment, selection and retention, in accordance with Company policies and conduct exit interviews.
To assist in the arrangement of staff rotas and arrange cover according to company policy and current staffing requirements, ensuring appropriate skill mix.
