RMN/RNLD Nurse
Job Description
37.5 hours per week - company shift pattern to include days/nights/weekends
This is a new service for women to support their successful transition from hospital/residential care back into the community. The service is designed for women with mild learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, personality disorders or other mental health disorders and provides clinical and social assessments and individually tailored care packages.
As a Staff Nurse you have responsibility for leading your shift to ensure we deliver excellent standards of care; promoting independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care.
This exciting and dynamic role will place you at the heart of a clinical team, working closely with patients and other healthcare professionals to deliver the best care and rehabilitation for patients.
Job Requirements
So as a Staff Nurse what do you need to do to make this happen?
•Supervise and lead in the person’s care and to plan, implement and evaluate their care plans with the staff involved in their care delivery
•Identify their care needs in conjunction with the person, their family and the team
•Promote high standards of nursing care for you and your team, by ensuring all staff are supervised appropriately and the shift runs in a smooth efficient manner
•Leading by example, promote teamwork and support for your colleagues
•Contribute in clinical reviews and nursing reviews ensuring accurate feedback on the person’s care
•Encourage independence and personal choice and help to provide an environment which is conducive to patients with varied and complex needs realizing their potential to live as independently as they can find possible
•Ensure that the team’s skill and knowledge levels are able to meet the changing needs of the business.
In order to achieve this our Staff Nurses should have:
A flexible attitude and wholly adopt a person centred ethos, show empathy and a desire to make a difference. Be up to date with current practices, show leadership qualities and be willing to take ownership for the deliver of quality care. Our nurses must hold a current registration with the NMC and have a legal right to work in the UK.
