Senior Support Worker

A Large National organisation committed to working with individuals with Learning Difficulties are looking for a Senior Support Worker who is passionate, enthusiastic and forward thinking about working within Learning Difficulties.
The role will be based in a Supported Living Service supporting six individuals on the Autistic Spectrum. As this role will involve working across the whole of the service the successful candidates must be prepared to work flexibly and be willing to adapt to the changing needs of the service.
Reporting to the Deputy Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the services, you must therefore be able to work on your own initiative
You will contribute to development and implementation of care plans
You will be involved in liaising with a range of different agencies and families, and a basic knowledge of community support teams and care services is desirable.
Experience of implementing support plans and of supervising staff would be desirable but not essential as full training in these areas will be provided.

Ideally the candidate should have experience of working in residential / supported living services and preferably two years experience of working with people with a learning disability. You must be prepared to work a flexible shift system including weekends, evenings, overnights and holidays.
