Are you a hands-on design engineer with a creative edge? Want to work on truly unique, customer-led projects from concept to completion?

We’re hiring a Bespoke (BIAB) Design Engineer for one of the UK’s most established manufacturers. You'll lead the design of one-off truck builds – from catering fit-outs and custom interiors to chassis modifications and integrated electrical/gas systems.

🚀 What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Turn client concepts into detailed 2D/3D designs

  • Liaise with Sales, Distributors and Customers to refine and deliver bespoke solutions

  • Specify 12V, 230V, and LPG systems to current standards

  • Build BOMs, estimate costs, and ensure designs are right first time

  • Produce high-quality manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks

🛠️ What You’ll Bring:

  • SolidWorks 3D CAD and engineering drawing expertise

  • Creative thinking with a practical, hands-on approach

  • Excellent communication and customer liaison skills

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation

  • An understanding of assemblies, furniture design, and light electrical/gas installations

🎓 Requirements:

  • 5 GCSEs including English & Maths (Grade B or above)

  • Proven experience in SolidWorks (to be demonstrated at interview)

  • Experience in the creation of BOMs and drawings for manufacture
