SEN Teaching Assistant / Special Needs Teaching Assistant
We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants/Special Needs Teaching Assistants to work in SEN schools.
This role is ideal for a SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference to children with additional needs.
SEN Teaching Assistant / Special Needs Teaching Assistant the role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant / Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a variety of needs, including:
- Autism (ASD) – verbal and non-verbal
- PMLD
- Challenging behaviour
You will work 1:1 or in small groups to support learning, communication, and emotional development.
SEN Teaching Assistant / Special Needs Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils as an SEN Teaching Assistant
- Working with children with complex special needs
- Managing challenging behaviour positively
- Supporting classroom learning and routines
- Assisting with personal care where required
- Working closely with teachers and SEN staff
SEN Teaching Assistant / Special Needs Teaching Assistant requirements:
- Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or Special Needs Teaching Assistant (preferred)
- Confidence working with ASD, PMLD, or challenging behaviour
- Calm, patient, and reliable approach
- Genuine interest in SEN education
