Role Overview

They are seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Engineer to lead the redevelopment of our quality systems, processes, and culture. This role will be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance activities across production, ensuring compliance to AS9100 and supporting the company’s long-term strategic goals.
This position reports directly to the head of operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all quality assurance activities across production to ensure AS9100 compliance.
  • Driving company-wide quality initiatives, policy development, and process improvements.
  • Conducting inspections, first-off checks, and First Article Inspections (FAI).
  • Leading root cause analysis and implementing robust corrective and preventative actions to reduce defects.
  • Managing internal and external audits and maintaining the QMS, NCRs, and AS9100 documentation.
  • Reporting directly to the Board of Directors and contributing to strategic goals and operational decision-making.
  • Developing and mentoring a high-performing quality team.
  • Ensuring quality is embedded across engineering, production, and supplier processes.
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies on quality-related matters.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a quality management role within automotive, aerospace, or complex manufacturing
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 or similar standards (IATF16949, ISO9001)
  • Experience leading audits, managing QMS systems, and driving continuous improvement activity
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to root cause analysis
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence change and drive quality culture improvements across all levels of the business
