NexGen Consultancy LTD are currently recruiting for a CADCAM Programmer to join a prestigious, well established precision engineering subcontractor based in Bristol.

Known for it's innovative solutions and high quality production standards. Striving to offer a turnkey solution to their customers.

This position is not just about CAD/CAM capability in isolation. They're looking for someone with strong, proven experience in helping production run betterwho is comfortable operating in a live manufacturing environment and taking ownership of outcomes on the shop floor.

The role is specifically to:

  • Help set up and embed offline programming as a core way of working
  • Improve the current structure and discipline within both milling and turning
  • Reduce machine downtime caused by on-machine programming
  • Standardise tooling, programs, and processes
  • Work closely with operators, setters, and production to improve throughput, efficiency, and OTIF

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has already worked in a dedicated offline programming role within a production environment (Fusion 360 preferred)
  • Understands the realities of delivery pressure, missing tooling, and machine constraints
  • Is hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable being on the shop floor
  • Wants to build and improve a system, not just generate program
