About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of large-scale rail systems projects. You will take projects from initiation through to completion, managing technical, commercial, and stakeholder aspects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate project teams and stakeholders.
- Manage client relationships and expectations throughout the project.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements.
- Plan, implement, and track project tasks, timelines, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and manage project risks.
- Provide regular updates to senior management.
- Maximise opportunities through project change management processes.
- Degree in engineering or technical discipline.
- Proven experience managing large-scale technical projects, preferably in rail systems.
- Commercial and contract management experience.
- Strong knowledge of project management methods (Prince2 or APM certification preferred).
- Skilled in risk management, strategic planning, and change management.
- Experience managing teams and projects on customer sites is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Strong communication, influencing, and leadership skills.
- Planning, organising, and decision-making.
- Negotiation, conflict management, and adaptability.
- Ability to develop full-scale project plans and delegate effectively.
