Production Engineer

  • Up to £45,000 per annum

  • Day shifts – Mon-Fri (37.5 hrs per week)

We are working with a respected client in Rochdale who are recruiting for a Production Engineer due to expansion to support function to all areas of production.

The Job

  • CAD knowledge (Solidworks)
  • Experience of 4 and 5-axis machining techniques
  • Experience of CNC Lathes
  • Execution of manufacturing engineering tasks to deadlines
  • Creation of process specifications
  • Support the department with Routings, BOMs, Production Orders, Costings
  • Knowledge of ERP systems preferably SAP
  • Provide support and expertise to optimise and improve process capability and yield
  • Ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders e.g., Purchasing, Engineering, Group etc

About you

  • Experience of working in a technical/engineering environment – medium to heavy engineering
  • Experience, Knowledge of Hard Surface welding methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • SolidWorks 3D Modelling
  • Project management skills
  • Creating BOMs and routings
  • Preparation of costings for intercompany production
  • Lean principles, Waste reduction, efficiency improvements, process flow, etc
  • Formal technical qualification – craft/technician level machining-biased apprenticeship up to HNC/HND level in Mechanical/Production Engineering
