I’m working with a well-established and highly regarded brickwork subcontractor who is looking to bring in an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their growing commercial team.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple brickwork packages from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with the operations and senior management teams to ensure projects are delivered profitably and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial delivery of brickwork and masonry packages
• Preparing and submitting valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Reviewing and negotiating subcontract and main contract terms
• Cost reporting, forecasting, and budget control
• Managing payments, applications, and cash flow
• Identifying and pricing variations and change orders
• Liaising with site teams, clients, and contractors
• Supporting procurement and material buying where required
• Ensuring commercial risks are identified and managed effectively

What I’m Looking For

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within brickwork
• Strong understanding of brickwork packages, labour, materials, and programme
• Experience working for a subcontractor is essential
• Good knowledge of valuations, CVRs, variations, and final accounts
• Confident working independently and managing multiple live projects
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• A commercially astute and proactive approach
