Deputy Home Manager | Elderly Care | Surrey

Stephen James Consulting is partnering with an established elderly care provider in the Surrey area to recruit an experienced clinical leader for a well-run nursing home setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team focused on delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a compliant and well-structured service.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Home Manager with daily operations, clinical leadership, and maintaining exceptional care standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support overall leadership and smooth day-to-day running of the home
  • Ensure safe, effective, person-centred care delivery at all times
  • Provide clinical guidance and leadership to the care team
  • Maintain full compliance with CQC and internal governance standards
  • Oversee staffing, rotas, reporting, and operational performance
  • Support service development, occupancy growth, and quality improvements
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise staff through ongoing support and appraisals
  • Step in as Home Manager when required

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with active NMC PIN
  • Strong background in elderly care within a senior clinical or deputy leadership role
  • Good knowledge of CQC requirements and clinical governance
  • Experience in dementia or older people’s care settings
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to motivate teams and maintain high standards of care

This role offers a salary of: £55,000 – £60,000 + benefits
