Axon Moore is working with a high-growth, multi-site organisation based in Knutsford to hire an H&S Manager. The role would suit either someone experienced in management or an ambitious H&S Officer/Coordinator ready to step into management.

In this role, you would take ownership of the H&S strategy across the business, ensuring compliance, driving a proactive safety culture, and mentoring a small team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and maintaining H&S policies in line with legislation and best practice
  • Advising senior leadership on strategic H&S matters
  • Designing and delivering training across the business
  • Developing risk assessment frameworks across multiple sites
  • Reviewing CAPEX proposals for H&S implications
  • Managing H&S systems and reporting tools
  • Monitoring key risk indicators and identifying trends for improvement
  • Conducting site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews
  • Supporting Operator Licence visits and corrective actions
  • Leading incident investigations and implementing preventative measures
  • Managing external H&S specialists and contractors

Key requirements:

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or Certificate considered)
  • Strong multi-site H&S experience
  • Good understanding of UK H&S and Operator Licence compliance
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
