Job Title: Head Cook
Location: HU9 Area, Hull
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 15:30
Pay Rate: £13.90 per hour
About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Head Cook to join our team in the HU9 area of Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about preparing nutritious, high-quality meals and leading a small kitchen team within an adult workforce setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and cook balanced meals in line with dietary requirements
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and maintain high standards of food hygiene
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and kitchen budgets
- Supervise and support kitchen staff where required
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety and food safety regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cook or head cook in a similar setting
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
