This role is a Housing Support Officer position, supporting individuals rebuild their lives following displacement and resettlement in the UK.
This opportunity sits within a specialist support service focused on helping vulnerable adults access stable housing, develop independent living skills, and successfully integrate into the local community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out housing and support assessments to identify individual needs
- Developing tailored action plans focused on long-term accommodation outcomes
- Assisting service users with securing and maintaining appropriate housing
- Liaising with property providers, statutory services, and external partners
- Representing and advocating for clients in relation to housing matters
- Managing a varied caseload while maintaining clear and accurate case notes
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience supporting displaced individuals, newly settled communities, or vulnerable adults facing housing barriers
- Understanding of the challenges linked to relocation, settlement, and accessing services within the UK
- Knowledge of tenancy support, welfare systems, and housing-related legislation
- Experience working collaboratively with external agencies and support networks
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
