Location: Meath, Ireland

Salary: £43,200 – £51,800 (DOE) + Performance Bonus (£2k – £7k+)

Working Hours: Mon – Thu 08:00 – 17:00,

Friday 08:00 – 13:00 (Early Finish)

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically minded engineer who enjoys seeing their designs move from concept to reality. You will be working on large-scale mechanical assemblies and high-impact engineering projects within a business that truly values work-life balance—offering a 1:00 PM finish every Friday.

Design Engineer Responsibilities:

* Concept to Completion: Translate conceptual sales drawings into manufacturing-ready technical drawings.

* Technical Design: Use CREO to design complex mechanical assemblies, including conveyors, support structures, and handling systems.

* Project Ownership: Manage your own engineering projects from initial specification and planning through to final delivery.

* Collaboration: Lead design reviews and value engineering sessions to ensure seamless product integration.

* Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with clients, the internal supply chain, and production teams to ensure a smooth design-to-build handover.

* Documentation: Produce detailed 3D models and precise manufacturing drawings to support installation and production.

Design Engineer Requirements:

* Education: Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.

* Technical Expertise: 4+ years of experience in mechanical design or systems engineering.

* Software: Advanced proficiency in CREO is essential (SolidWorks or AutoCAD experience is also advantageous).

* Project Management: A proven track record of delivering complex projects within tight deadlines.

* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and internal liaison.
