I’m currently working on behalf of a highly regarded and long-established main contractor with a strong presence across London and the South East. Due to continued growth within their Social Value team, they are looking to appoint an experienced Social Value Manager to help drive meaningful community impact across a diverse portfolio of construction and regeneration projects.

The Role

The successful candidate will lead the delivery of social value initiatives across multiple projects, working closely with operational teams, local authorities, community groups, and supply chain partners to maximise positive outcomes within local communities.

You’ll play a key role in embedding social value into day-to-day operations while supporting wider ESG and community engagement objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement social value strategies across live construction projects
  • Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, charities, schools, and community organisations
  • Create and coordinate employment, training, and apprenticeship opportunities
  • Support community engagement initiatives and local outreach programmes
  • Monitor, measure, and report on social value outcomes and KPIs
  • Support bid and pre-construction teams with social value submissions and frameworks
  • Promote innovation and best practice across social value delivery
  • Work collaboratively with site and operational teams to ensure targets are achieved

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a Social Value, CSR, Community Engagement, or ESG-focused role
  • Construction, social housing, regeneration, or main contractor experience preferred
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Experience measuring and reporting social impact outcomes
  • Passionate about creating long-term community benefit
