Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join their on-site engineering team. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining, servicing, and improving electrical systems and production equipment to ensure maximum operational efficiency.

Salary & Benefits

  • Basic Salary: £37,250
  • Shift Allowance: £5,960
  • Total Salary: £43,210
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 20 days annual leave + bank holidays (rising to 25 days + bank holidays after 1 year)

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance and servicing of all electrical and electronic equipment across the site
  • Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs to minimise downtime
  • Install and commission electrical systems and equipment
  • Support modifications, upgrades, and refurbishment of machinery
  • Conduct portable appliance testing (PAT) as required
  • Assist with preventative maintenance planning and execution
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment efficiency
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety and COSHH regulations
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues on basic electrical tasks where appropriate

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a maintenance electrician role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and machinery
  • Commitment to health & safety best practices
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to support continuous improvement and development initiatives
