£55,000 - £60,000/annum

We are looking for a new Quantity Surveyor to add value and bring professionalism and experience to the team. Coordinating the surveyor’s functions within the team & meeting management objectives. Compliance with NEC suite of Contracts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES AND SERVICE STANDARDS AS A QUANTITY SURVEYOR

  • Monitoring of costs & maximising value on schemes
  • Preconstruction Works
  • Previous Target Cost Experience
  • Term Service Contract Experience using SOR to produce Task Quotations
  • Preparation of cost/value information
  • Accurate forecast for management accounts
  • Monthly review of accounts
  • Financial assessments through to final agreement
  • Assisting with procurement and other preconstruction activities
  • Experienced user of EXCEL and CEMAR
  • Keeping to all deadlines agreed
  • Consistently working at a level to achieve the tasks required
  • All correspondence acknowledged or actioned within a reasonable period
  • All reports submitted within 1 day of close of reporting period
  • Attend site visits to review progress, measure works, and assess risks
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with specifications and RAMS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • BSc Quantity Surveying
  • RICS or HND
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the Construction Industry working under NEC conditions of contract
