We are seeking a skilled and motivated MOT Tester to join our client’s reputable family-run independent garage in Basingstoke. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MOT Tester to progress their automotive career within a supportive and professional environment, offering competitive salary packages and long-term career development.

Our client offers the following benefits:

• Starting salary of £40,000, increasing to £45,000 after successful probation
• On target earnings (OTE) bonuses of up to £6,000 annually
• Monday to Friday working hours, from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm
• No weekend work required

Duties include:

• Conducting comprehensive MOT tests in accordance with current UK legislation
• Inspecting and assessing vehicle safety, emissions, and overall compliance
• Recording and documenting test results accurately and thoroughly
• Advising customers on necessary repairs and maintenance when appropriate
• Maintaining high standards of safety and quality throughout all testing procedures
• Ensuring adherence to all health, safety, and environmental policies

Requirements of the MOT Tester:

• Valid MOT Tester licence or equivalent certification
• Proven experience as an MOT Tester within a motor trade environment
• Sound knowledge of current MOT testing legislation and procedures
• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
• Customer-focused approach with strong communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and efficiently as part of a team
