Support Worker Vacancies – East London

Austin Dean Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Support Workers to work within Day Care Centres across East London.

We are seeking professional, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about supporting vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and helping them achieve their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of service users and their families while working within a supportive and friendly environment.

Role Details

  • Location: East London
  • Hours: 10am – 3pm
  • Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rates available
  • Setting: Adults with Learning Disabilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality care and support to service users
  • Supporting individuals with daily activities and personal care
  • Promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing
  • Providing emotional support and encouragement
  • Assisting wheelchair users where required
  • Following care plans and undertaking risk assessments
  • Representing Austin Dean Recruitment in a professional manner at all times

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate 
  • Minimum 18 months’ UK healthcare/support work experience, particularly supporting adults with learning disabilities
  • Up-to-date mandatory training certificates, including:
    • Manual Handling
    • Health & Safety
    • First Aid
    • Safeguarding Adults Level 2/3
    • Medication Administration
    • Epilepsy Awareness
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Caring, patient, and compassionate approach
