4 on 4 off (2 Days, 2 Nights)

We are looking for a multi skilled maintenance engineer to join our current team of 14 engineers at our globally recognised manufacturing site in Birmingham.
As a household name in our industry, we annually turnover in excess of £300m and have reinvested this in our team through external PLC training and updated wiring regulations etc.

Our team have excellent longevity behind them with most of our engineers averaging over 15 years of service in maintenance, we are looking for someone who wants to remain within a business where you are valued for your skill set.

The successful candidates’ roles and responsibilities will be planned and reactive maintenance across a large-scale manufacturing site. Repairing and maintaining, extrusion machines, rolling mills, steam boilers, large presses, high pressure water systems. PLC work will be very much part of the successful engineers’ remit, mainly involving Allan Bradley and Rockwell systems.

Experience Required for the Maintenance Engineer:
 

  • Minimum for 5 years’ experience as a multi skilled maintenance engineer in an industrial environment
  • Some base knowledge of PLC is a must (Siemens, Omron, Allan Bradley, Rockwell etc)
  • Some form of maintenance qualification e.g., City and Guilds, NVQ, HNC, Indentured Apprenticeship
  • Experience in a heavy industry environment would be highly beneficial
