Panel Wirer – Contract (Outside IR35)

Location: Ferndown Employment

Type: Contract – 2–3 months initially,  potential to extend

Hours: Day shift, 38 hours per week with some flexibility

The Opportunity

Actio Recruitment are supporting a well‑established manufacturing business in Ferndown who require an experienced Panel Wirer to join them on a contract basis. This is an outside IR35 assignment, ideal for a skilled contractor who can hit the ground running in a busy production environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Wiring control panels, cabinets, and associated assemblies to engineering drawings

• Building electrical panels from scratch, including layout, drilling, tapping, and component mounting

• Working from schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials

• Carrying out point‑to‑point wiring, crimping, looming, and cable routing

• Ensuring all work meets required quality and safety standards

• Supporting wider production teams where required

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Panel Wirer, Electrical Assembler, or similar

• Confident reading and interpreting electrical drawings

• Strong practical wiring and assembly skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• A professional contractor who can deliver high‑quality work to tight deadlines

Contract Details

• Outside IR35

• 2–3 months initially, with a strong chance of extension

• Day shift, 38 hours per week

• Some flexibility available around start/finish times
