Forklift Operator

Location: Braintree | Company: All Square Recruitment (on behalf of our client)

Are you an organised, detail-driven Forklift Operator looking for a role that offers more than just moving pallets? We are supporting a specialist logistics leader seeking a motivated professional to join their busy stores team.

This isn't your standard warehouse role. You’ll be handling high-value technical components, managing digital stock systems, and playing a vital part in a sophisticated supply chain.

The Role: Precision & Coordination

You’ll be at the heart of the operation, ensuring that large-scale technical parts are handled with care and recorded with 100% accuracy.

  • Handling & Logistics: Safely load/unload vehicles and manage the movement of large, technical inventory.
  • Inventory Integrity: Receive parts, perform quality checks, photograph, label, and record items into the system.
  • Digital Management: Maintain the stock management system and carry out regular cycle counts.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with Sales and Procurement teams to ensure outgoing orders are perfectly prepared with the right paperwork.
  • Compliance: Follow strict handling procedures and safety protocols.

What We’re Looking For

We need a proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and isn't afraid of a little technical detail.

  • The Basics: A valid Forklift license and a full UK driving licence.
  • Technical Savvy: Comfortable learning bespoke software systems and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills (emails, shared docs, and team updates).
  • The "Can-Do" Attitude: Motivated, able to work under pressure, and highly organized.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to support the business during shifts (between 6:30am–6:30pm, Mon–Fri) and participate in occasional evening/weekend call-outs.

Why Join This Team?

Our client prides itself on a supportive culture that rewards hard work and invests in its people.

  • Development: Comprehensive induction, mentorship, and clear pathways for career progression.
  • Wellness & Culture: Local gym membership, social events, and a positive, collaborative environment.
  • Perks: 21 days holiday (increasing with service), free onsite parking, and complimentary fruit and hot drinks.
