ECT D&T Secondary School Teacher - Braintree - Start Date September

Prospero Teaching are seeking a motivated ECT D&T Teacher to join a forward‑thinking secondary school in Braintree from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their career in a supportive environment with strong mentorship, a structured induction programme, and ongoing professional development. The school is looking for a passionate practitioner with creativity, strong subject knowledge, and the ability to inspire learners across KS3 and KS4.

📌 CONTRACT DETAILS

• Location - Braintree

• Position - ECT D&T Secondary Teacher

• Start date - September

• Duration - Ongoing / Long‑term

• Full time/part‑time - Full time

• Pay - To be discussed further

• Hours - 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

📚 EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification in Design & Technology

• Recent experience in a UK secondary school (placements accepted for ECTs)

• Up‑to‑date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)

✔️ TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK

• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one

• Provide two professional child‑related references
