HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver

Scunthorpe | Full-Time | Ongoing Water Utility Contract

We’re seeking an experienced and dependable HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver to join a growing team delivering critical drainage and liquid waste services across major water utility sites. If you’ve worked within the utilities or water industry and want a long-term opportunity with a respected operation, this could be the role for you.

The Role

You’ll be operating specialist vacuum tankers and supporting essential frontline utility works, including:

• Responding to emergency call-outs involving flooding, sewer blockages, pollution incidents, and drainage issues
• Carrying out the safe collection, transportation, and disposal of liquid waste
• Completing daily vehicle inspections and compliance paperwork
• Working in line with strict health, safety, and environmental procedures
• Supporting operational teams across a range of utility projects

This is a hands-on role offering variety, responsibility, and ongoing development opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid HGV Class 2 Licence (Class 1 advantageous)
• Valid Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points
• Previous utilities or water industry experience essential
• Tanker or jetting experience advantageous
• Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
• Flexible approach to nights, weekends, and emergency call-outs
• Reliable, professional, and willing to learn new skills

• High-Pressure Water Jetting experience
