Mechanical Engineer - BMS

Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Based in Cork with travel to sites as required, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Engineering Management team as a Mechanical Engineer, supporting the delivery of our projects across a wide variety of sectors. 

You will be responsible for managing the delivery of mechanical and BMS systems from design through commissioning and handover, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient project execution.

Your day will include:

• Coordinate mechanical and BMS design activities across all project phases.
• Manage BMS procurement, subcontractors, commissioning, and system handover.
• Review technical submissions, drawings, RFIs, and operational documentation.
• Support installation, QA inspections, system walkdowns, and commissioning activities.
• Monitor project schedules, risks, and progress to support successful delivery.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and project teams to ensure quality and HSE compliance.

About You

• Strong experience in mechanical engineering and construction project delivery.
• Good knowledge of HVAC, piping systems, and BMS design, installation, and commissioning.
• Experience with major BMS platforms such as Trend, Schneider, and Tridium desirable.
