SMS – Smart Manufacturing Solutions are currently recruiting Production Operatives to join one of our established clients based in Consett, supporting 24-hour operations within the Automotive Industry.
We are looking for process-driven, reliable individuals who can work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
As a Production Operative, your duties may include (but are not limited to):
- Working in accordance with health & safety regulations and standard operating procedures
- Operating manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently
- Quality checking, inspecting, and labelling finished products
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards
- Working within strict policies and procedures to meet customer requirements
- Ensuring all products consistently meet client quality standards and specifications
- Supporting and encouraging continuous improvement
- Accurately recording production data using internal applications to support effective reporting
Requirements:
- Confident, enthusiastic, and reliable
- Punctual with a strong work ethic
- Able to follow processes with excellent attention to detail
- A good communicator and team player
- Proactive and self-motivated
Shift Patterns
- Day Shift: 6:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Wednesday
- Night Shift: 6:00pm – 6:00am, Monday to Thursday morning
