Salary: £160-£220 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
About the Opportunity
A successful and well-regarded secondary school in Bury is looking to appoint a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join its established department from September 2026.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Support students in developing scientific knowledge, practical skills, and analytical thinking
- Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform future planning
- Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations, ensuring strong levels of attainment
- Maintain a safe, organised, and purposeful learning environment
- Participate in departmental initiatives and whole-school activities
Candidate Requirements
We are seeking a candidate who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Has recent experience teaching Science in a secondary setting
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
- Is confident managing behaviour and maintaining high expectations
- Shows a commitment to supporting student progress and engagement
- Works well within a collaborative and professional team
Essential Criteria
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Two satisfactory references relating to work with children or young people
