Freight Forwarding Operator Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Freight Forwarding Operator to join our clients growing team in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity for a logistics professional with strong experience in Ocean (FCL/LCL) and Air Freight operations who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
Freight Forwarding Operator Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily Deep Sea (FCL/LCL) and Air Freight shipments from booking through to final delivery
- Experience dealing with Import and Export shipments
- Coordinate collections with domestic and international carrier networks
- Track shipments, monitor consignments, and issue pre-alerts to clients and partners
- Prepare and process accurate shipment documentation, including Bills of Lading (BL) and Air Waybills (AWB)
- Liaise with overseas offices, agents, carriers, and logistics partners worldwide
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing regular shipment updates
- Proactively identify and resolve operational issues across import and export shipments
- Ensure compliance with customs procedures, shipping regulations, and internal processes
Freight Forwarding Operator Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in Ocean and Air Freight Forwarding
- Strong understanding of Incoterms, customs procedures, and shipping documentation
- Proven ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high service standards
